As a professional who works in Omaha, I have peers who've worked there and previously worked for a vendor to them. Many of their professionals describe the place as the "Gupta Shrine" or "Gupta Cult." Agreement with Vin is mandatory to your continued employment.

Imagine an outbound telemarketing shop culture, led by executives lacking formal education promoted not for their ability but rather their allegiance to Gupta. In this environment, you can appreciate why they engage in numerous unacceptable activities, such as producing significant volumes of spam for their various products (and enlisting those who request removal from spam lists in additional mailings).

Re: Clinton Wins Support From Another Ethics-Challenged Administration

James Mackenzie, al-Reuters: "She's a woman who is not liked by everybody. But she's strong and she has convictions," Bernadette Chirac, well-known for a forceful character of her own, told the weekly Le Figaro magazine.

Lessee...

1. Not liked by everybody. A trifle weak. "Thoroughly loathed, despised and outright hated by many people" is closer to the mark.

2. A strong woman. Only if you consider a woman "strong" for staying married to a serial philanderer in the interests of her own political career. Or a woman who sobs, "They shouldn't be mean to me 'cuz I'm a GIRL!" whenever anybody criticizes her.

3. Strong convictions. I absolutely agree. The Hilldabeast is strongly commited to

(A) Hillary Rodham Clinton

(B) A socialist America

Mdm. Chirac stated in the article that she'd be perfectly willing to work for the Hilldabeast's campaign. Oh, please-please-please-PLEASE! Having an America-hating Frenchy politicking for the Hilldabeast would be SUCH a boost, especially in flyover country where the Fwench are held in only slightly less contempt than... Than... Hmmm.... Is there ANYBODY in the world for whom Americans feel more contempt than the Fwench?

Re: Clinton Wins Support From Another Ethics-Challenged Administration

Personally I think Madame Chirac campaigning for Hillary is a swell idea, given what a raging success with the voters Kerry had just *looking* French.

Re: Clinton Wins Support From Another Ethics-Challenged Administration

"Birds of a feathair flock togethair."

/french_accent

Re: Clinton Wins Support From Another Ethics-Challenged Administration

The visual on Her Thighness climbing a greasy pole makes me a little sick to my stomach.

Re: Clinton Wins Support From Another Ethics-Challenged Administration

You almost have to wonder if she is greasing the pole while Hillary is trying to climb up it.

Re: Clinton Wins Support From Another Ethics-Challenged Administration

The Thunder Run has linked to this post in the - Web Reconnaissance for 11/23/2007 A short recon of what’s out there that might draw your attention, updated throughout the day...

Re: Clinton Wins Support From Another Ethics-Challenged Administration

Captain,
Also, a big corruption and perjury scandal is brewing in Canada around the former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney. Details are quite graphic (as: cash in brown envelopes accepted by then PM in hotel rooms).
Maybe his wife could support Hillary bid as well?

Re: Clinton Wins Support From Another Ethics-Challenged Administration

In all fairness, if Hillary's time as first lady doesn't qualify as experience in seeking high office (it doesn't) then it's probably not very even handed to lay the ills of the Chirac administration at the feet of his wife. I'm not politically tone deaf enough to fail to realize that people will want to make the connection, but unless there's information on Ms. Chirac's actions as an elected official, she should probably be treated as a free agent.
