Just as the real Ronald Reagan Conservatives are revolting to crush the pretentious Podhoretz Neo-Cons; the real Jack Kennedy Liberals are revolting to crush the pretentious Leiberman Neo-Libs.

The Neocons and Neolibs are trapped in middle, with the traditional Conservatives and Liberals fast closing in on them.

Besides the fact that it only aired on radio, two things about the debate stood out to me. First: the candidates were way too easy on each other, and the respective (comprehensive) plans each planned to have in place to deal with complex issues from immigration to Iran.   

Second: Hillary's elocution skill, or lack thereof. Until then, Hillary just sounded like a ruptured duck. But as I listened to her butcher syntax, it became clear that she lacks the fundamental knowledge to articulate a simple sentence. I was appalled. Perhaps people lack respect for the English language - because they don't speak it. Perhaps the Chinese blacked-out Hillary in 1995, for that reason. Anyway, I had heard that Hillary failed the BAR Exam in Washington, DC (were that possible), but passed it in Arkansas (surprise, surprise). One key difference - Rudy fights America's enenies. Hillary, like most Democrats, fights Republicans, even when it helps America's enemies.

Not long before the Kerry campaign the Swift Boat veterans and their knowledge of Kerry were unknown. How quickly that changed. Kerry is still waging a war between his ears against them.

When Hillary must criticize Obama's kindergarten aspirations that's a healthy sign her war machine has thrown a few bolts.

Assuming her downfall in the primary, does anyone here think that the "Clinton-machine" which has stayed remarkably in tact for well over 10 years now would crack up resulting in a deluge of information information concerning the workings of Bill's Administration?

The decades long history of Clinton lies and scandal are well documented. From Charlie Trie to Norman Hsu, from Gennifer Flowers to Monica Lewinsky, to pardons for Marc Rich and Puerto Rican terrorists. This is the Clinton legacy and our National nightmare. What is not mentioned nearly enough however is HRC's total lack of qualifications for the job of President. Where is the life experience in business, government or the military which could give her some tools for dealing with the Global economy or our own thirteen trillion dollar economy, our millions of active and reserve serving in the military, our enemies from Iran to Venezuela, our current mortgage and energy crises? It is not there. She spent her life as Mrs. Bill Clinton. Her reaching for the highest office in the land is a blatant display of hubris which could have a decades long negative impact on our country. We do not assign the wives of business or military executives to take over companies or commands. Why would we do this for the Presidency?

It will be interesting to see how Hillary spins the indictment of bag man Norman Hsu this afternoon.

15-count indictment handed down by the US District Court of Manhattan calling his actions a Ponzi scheme involving over 20 millions. Reported by AP though the link below is via FoxNews. Amazingly, the AP mentions Hsu is a Democrat though is careful not to link his actions with Herself the Cold and Joyless. Maybe Hsu will Hsing his way out of this and finally Hsink her Hsleazy Hself?

And, assuming for the moment that Rudy had "New York City fire, police and other emergency services working on and regularly drilling on his administration's plan for what to do if a terrorist strike hit", which I very much doubt, what does that have to do with the initial question, which was experience in combating terrorism?

We'll know for sure when the next CNN Poll comes out. If that one echoes the others, she's in trouble. That's because CNN's polling is now down by longtime Clinton lackey Vinod Gupta, who in fact is co-hosting a Hillary fund raiser this week.

If even Vinod sees her losing ground, things must be very nasty indeed.

X man, If the Hildabeast loses, do you really think that'll take the Clinton Team off the world stage? If she looses, it will be because of the Right Wing Conspiracy. Plus, as you mentioned, getting thumped over the noggin by the electorate did nothing to take Carter off the stage. Nope, we're stuck with the corrupt, slimy Clintons for the duration. My main objection to Huckabee -- the reason why he's my fifth choice out of five -- is that I lack confidence in his ability to fight terrorism. It's not just that he lacks experience in this realm, though that's certainly the case.

I'm no fan of Huckabee, but there is no candidate running who has any experience in fighting terrorism.

This is a crazy election year and voter dissatisfaction with all politics is making it difficult for establishment types. Or even people we've seen a lot of over the years. This dynamic leaves the door open for the unknown stranger to ride to the rescue.

This reminds me of another time when voters were unrealistically dissatisfied and elected someone totally unqualified for the job...and he was a moralistic weenie that brought most of modern-day terrorism to our doorstep. Jimmy Carter. Mike Huckabee is the new Jimmy Carter and we should be afraid, very afraid.

Hi Ed. I think you meant "free-for-all" rather than "free-fall." The Clinton machine is still very strong, the voters will have to do the dirty work. Gore is lurking if Hillary continues to drop. He won't be able to resist the saviour role if she is mortally wounded.
