Hillary, The Geraldo Of National Politics

Started by captained · 1 year ago

For those who remember when Geraldo Rivera did actual investigative journalism, his excellent work would often get marred by his shameless self-promotion. On more than one occasion, he would interject in his reports that his life was actually in danger while investigating mostly mundane controversies. Hillary Clinton seems to have <a href="http://www.newsday.com/news/nationworld/ny-usside315521 ... Continue reading »

  • I don't remember anyone offering me tea.

You mean she wasn't welcome there either?
  • Hillary and Sinbad on a diplamtic adventure misison to Bosnia? Wow, does that sound like a terrible straight-to-video buddy-action comedy.
  • The greatest danger Hillary has faced was the time she nearly was sucked into a shredder while destroying incriminating Rose Law Firm documents. Fortunately for her, Janet Reno was standing nearby, grabbed John Kerry's voluminous Dishonorable Discharge summary then used it to jam the machine in the nick of time. Hillary and Kerry off the hook part way with one swift (er, make that Swift) file folder's destruction by Cover(up) Girl Janet!

The only other time she theoretically was at high risk (as the saying goes) was when Billy nearly gave her that social disease, by proxy, after an orgiastic weekend among Hollywood friends shortly after selling them some overpriced coffee. That's assuming Billy has genuinely ever been closer to Hillary than has Web Hubbell; an assumption which I certainly won't make. Not on a full stomach, at least....

Happy New Year to all (even to the Clinton's true believers many of whom seem scruffier and more dazed nowadays than Saddam when finally pulled out of his underground outpost).
  • A fake war hero. THAT's what the Dems were missing this time around...
  • And yet, sadly enough, she appears to be the best her party has to offer. All the other Democrats are empty suits or populist buffoons. The really scary thing to contemplate is that one of them could be elected president.
  • She is not the best her party has to offer, she is the best they are offering. There is Zell Miller and others. You are correct, in the Dim party the buffoons rise to the top, the better ones sink to the bottom. SEW
  • Sheryl Crow? I certainly hope Hillary had the plane well-stocked with toilet paper...
  • yeah; gives a new meaning to the expression "three sheets to the wind."
  • It seems that just like her husband, Hillary is a pathological liar, lying even when it does her no good.

Hillary can, IMO, claim her status as co-president represents some level of experience for the presidency. She was obviously not a normal first lady.

But the problem with this vein of self promotion is what she accomplished, or did not in that role. The record includes failure (HillaryCare) and scandal (FBI files) and not much else.
  • Thanks for the laugh, Skipper. Been a long day and I needed it. The only threat she faced over there was from the drinking water and the chow. Of course her stomach is likely similar to disposition and is therefore like Cast Iron…she was probably unaffected...
  • Ed,
I was part of Task Force Eagle in Bosnia during that time. I was part of then MG William Nash, 1st Armored Division, security detail. I take two issues with her statement. First and most blatantly checkable, was the year she states. She's a year off. It was actually March 1996. We didn't go into Bosnia until after the signing of the Dayton Peace Accords, which was in the Fall of 1995, (November, I think). I remember it because it ruined Christmas for just about the entire 2nd Brigade, 1st AD, in Baumholder Germany. Then President Clinton actually came to Baumholder right before Christmas to make a speech. It should be easily checkable.

Secondly, she landed at Eagle Base in Tuzla, Bosnia in a C-17. At that time, it was the most secure location in country, being an old Russian MIG base. The compound was very well fortified and snipers weren't an issue for us. They never were during the entire mission, except maybe in Sarajevo. Our biggest issue was landmines, again, not an issue at Eagle Base as it had been very well cleared.

Shameless self promotion is just stupid when things like that are so easily verifiable.

General Joulwan, General Nash, General Crouch, Secretary West. A special word of greeting to America's good friend Chancellor Kohl, who has been a wonderful partner to our country, with great thanks to Germany for their partnership with this fine unit.

I am immensely proud to be here today with the men and women of the 1st Armored Division. You truly are America's Iron Soldiers. Previous generations of Iron Soldiers have answered our Nation's call with legendary skill and bravery. Each time before, it was a call to war. From North Africa to Italy, they helped freedom triumph over tyranny in World War II. Then for 20 years, their powerful presence here stood down the Soviet threat and helped to bring victory in the cold war.

  • Grr looked ok in preview
  • Good enough to get the link you were referring to across so I could go look at it.. With respect to tags, we are only allowed the following:

    bold

    paragraph

    blockquote

note: you need a paragraph tag after a blockquote, otherwise the blockquote's style continues to be used for some strange reason.
    and, last but not least,
    anchor

Note that we don't get strikethrough, subscript, superscript, font, or any block tags such as div or span or iframe (since we can use those to subvert security or destroy the formatting of the blog).

And, last but not least, the image size you must use to generate your avatar is for some strange reason 128x128 (even though your avatar will be 32x32).

  • In any event Clinton made his speech there on Dec 2, 1995 in front of the troops.
  • "...risked her life on White House missions in the 1990s.."

Did it involve a cape and mask?

    Stupid lying cow.
  • I've had hair-raising events too. Well, ok, it was simply watching Carrie but the ending sure scared me. I guess I can be president too, now.
  • "Never let the truth spoil a good story." Is that a description of Hillary and Bill or the family slogan?
  • And the press will give Hillary a free pass on this whopper, too.
  • Hillary! heh And GWB didnt use this "National Asset" for say, covert misssions to Turkmenistan? C'mon , anyone really believe this woman? Is this the best that the Party of my Grandfather can do???
  • Why didn't she mention this in her book? Because it didn't happen. If it had, we would have heard about it in the news at the time. She is shameless and will do anything to get elected. Makes one very afraid of what she would do if she is elected.
  • What is it exactly that she said? That they had a rough landing and had to run off the tarmac with their heads down. I'll bet that is the protocal in any situation in which you have a first lady in a war zone. She did not claim to be dodging bullets or carrying an AK-47. You guys are trying to blow this up into a bigger story. She was responding to the fact that Obama had accused her of sitting around drinking tea all the time she was in the WHite House.

Y'all need to make up your minds. In the 1990's she was accused of being the bitch who secretly ran the country. Now you want to claim she was another Laura Bush eating bon bons by the fire. You can not have it both ways.
  • The point she's trying to make (horribly I might add) is that she participated significantly in the Clinton Administration as an ambassador of sorts sent on dangerous and important missions. The point her critics are making just now is that she's once again fabricating a narrative to give her political bona fides.

This is a lot worse than the Sir Edmund Hillary canard she grafted onto the American people a few years ago. Here she's trying to dupe the electorate into believing she's made of Presidential timber. She's clearly not and I'm not sure what bothers me most, that she would try to dupe us so obviously or that she thinks she can get that whopper passed through without criticism.

I don't like any of the Dem candidates but I'd suffer through two Obama terms than a single Hillary 'moment.'
  • We're not claiming anything other than that she's lying about her experience, which she clearly is.

Treat yourself to the relevant quotation from Hillary's book, "Living History," in which she describes just how dangerous the situation truly was. It's posted at Sweetness and Light.
  • Teresa, you just claimed to be an Obama supporter so I would think you would be happy that Obama had the gusto to call out Hillary as the tea-sipping first lady that she was. Or are you saying that YOUR candidate lied about her?
  • In the words of Hillary Clinton,
We used to say in the White House that if a place is too dangerous, too small or too poor, send the First Lady.
We landed in one of those cork screw landings and ran out because they said there might be sniper fire – I don’t remember them offering me tea on the tarmac.

The above two quotes are in response to one from Barack Obama:

It’s that experience, that understanding, not just of what world leaders I went and talked to in the ambassador’s house I had tea with, but understanding the lives of the people like my grandmother who lives in a tiny hut in Africa.

Barack could have tea with more august company [having tea with the ambassador's house rather than the ambassador is pretty sad]. Barack could also move his grandmother out of that tiny hut. Why doesn't he?

  • Well I remember that the president in the Clinton era was referred to a Billary, she appeared to be the cunning behind the Clintons.
  • "Experience" to Hillary seemingly means watching somebody else do it. I don't see, offhand, how that translates into anything. Nonetheless, and for good or ill, Hillary did sit next to the President considerably more than did any of the other candidates. Some of it may have rubbed off on her.

However, she does need to dial back on the supposed eight years of experience. When Bill's bimbo scandals really started hitting the press, I doubt seriously that she and Bill were discussing much of anything, much less national policy. Perhaps she should scale her claim back to, say, four years of experience?
  • I flew a redeye from LA to Boston one night and there was so much turbulence the flight attendants didn't even try beverage service. But that doesn't qualify me to be President.

I guess the idea here is we're supposed to believe Hillary has guts. Well, we already knew that. It takes guts to go on national TV and tell the world that the rumors about your husband's affair with a White House intern are false and part of a vast right-wing conspiracy.

It's just unfortunate she's expended so much of her courage in support of her husband's career, not as an ambassador for America's interests abroad but as an enabler for his philandering at home.
  • But talking to her base, you've gotta admit the story sounded too good to pass by, though.

Why does this have the ring of a certain party candidate and some Christmas story in a foreign land?
  • Please don't allow water anywhere near this Witch until she secures the nomination!

As far as lying, it is a Rat qualification of the highest order, after all the media water carriers marvel at the ease with which Monicas' boyfriend was able to lie effortlessly.

Fortunately for us the Witch hasn't the ability of Monicas boyfriend to make 1/2 of the American people like being told a pack of lies.

Unfortunately 1/2 of the American people could care a less they just want the presents Herself has put under the tree for them.

Chrissy Mathews, Georgy Siffalous, and the other Clintoon lackeys in the MSM will carry the water for Herself no matter how large the Lie. It's the new medias job to make sure ample amounts of it get spilled on the witch so that we may get to see her meltdown. I've got the popcorn made , Bring Her On. If she does win the election she will irrevocably damage the Rat party if Nancy and Harry don't do so before her.
  • Proof that you are completely unaware of how the MSM feels about Clinton. Study after study shows she gets the most negative press of all the candidates.

And Chris Matthews has a man crush on Rudy. He hates Clinton and will tell you so ad nauseum every night on Hardball.
  • Study after study shows she gets the most negative press of all the candidates.

Study after study, eh? Post two.
  • Teresa

We're waiting. Post two-conducted by liberals or otherwise.
  • Just take a trip over to Media Matters...that is the broken record they keep on a continuous loop
  • Deservingly so! She breeds negativity.
  • From this study:

    http://www.journalism.org/node/8187

McCain gets the most negative press of all the candidates.

"Just five candidates have been the focus of more than half of all the coverage.

Hillary Clinton received the most (17% of stories), though she can thank the overwhelming and largely negative attention of conservative talk radio hosts for much of the edge in total volume.

Barack Obama was next (14%), with Republicans Giuliani, McCain, and Romney measurably behind (9% and 7% and 5% respectively). As for the rest of the pack, Elizabeth Edwards, a candidate spouse, received more attention than 10 of them, and nearly as much as her husband.

Democrats generally got more coverage than Republicans, (49% of stories vs. 31%.) One reason was that major Democratic candidates began announcing their candidacies a month earlier than key Republicans, but that alone does not fully explain the discrepancy.

Overall, Democrats also have received more positive coverage than Republicans (35% of stories vs. 26%), while Republicans received more negative coverage than Democrats (35% vs. 26%). For both parties, a plurality of stories, 39%, were neutral or balanced. "

Another study might support the idea that Hillary gets poor press, but this one will instantly get discarded by liberals, as it also concluded that "Faux News" was more balanced than the alphabet networks:

    http://www.cmpa.com/releases/07_12_21_Election_...

Blogger John Hawkins said it best last week:

"In the last election, the press devoted endless hours to the "George Bush went AWOL" story that, in the end, turned out to be a dry hole that Dan Rather's career fell into.

Yet, with Hillary, all of the scandals she was involved in during the eighties and nineties are treated as boring, old news. The numerous fund raising scandals that surround her? Yawn. Whether her husband, who is a sex addict prowling the country looking for new conquests, is having affairs? The press is willing to have reporters stake out Mitt Romney's lawn, but not Bill Clinton's hotel rooms on the road.

Moreover, even when Hillary does something as on its face laughable as claim credit for good things that Bill did in the nineties just because she was married to him, the press takes her seriously. Typically, her interviews are nothing but puff pieces and any sort of attempt to actually get her to answer uncomfortable questions are talked about as if they're staggeringly unfair.

In other words, Hillary has nothing going for her beyond the fact that her husband is Bill Clinton and the media babies her along. Now, there are even complaints about that? Give me a break."
  • Gee teresa....it would appear that you just lied. Not "made a mistake", lied. what you said about the phantom hatred of the MSM for hillary was an outright lie, and you knew it when you stated it. Are you upset that I would call you a liar? I can understand that. See, you are unable to recognize a liar. hillary lied about her experiences yet again, and all you can do is lie about everyone and anyone who would dare to call her on it. Obama supporter indeed....another lie I'm sure.
  • I think that Teresa is partially correct in this sense: There are many in the MSM who loath the idea of being the pooper-scoopers for yet another Clinton administration. The MSM lost a lot of credibility for their 24/7 defense of Slick Willie. Hence the occasional faint criticism of Hilly the Hun that Teresa thinks is so cosmic in scope.

But scoop they will when (not if) she gets the nomination.

And Matthews compared William Jefferson Clinton to Jesus. Sounds like love to me!
  • Teresa - suggest Matthews wanted Clinton crucified, thus proving your point.
  • which matthews is that? I squat to pee Chrissy? I thought he was going to run for US
senator from Pa. Speechwriter for jimmuh carter, no? Loud enabler of liberal BSers also.
  • Teresa,
I do not think that taking one incorrect statement about a politician is justified in calling the politician a liar. With that said, you have to take the totality of all the untruths spoken by the Senator from New York into account. I must side with the people that HRC is a liar and does not deserve any consideration for politcal office. Is Senator Obama the best Democratic choice? I think the answer is no.... He does not have experience with the big issues... Does John " I will sue everyone" Edwards deserve to win the nomination? NO! I think that we have similar issues on the GOP side? Yes.... I personally have nothing against Mitt Romney... He is not my guy... I have thought from 2002 until now that the person that will win the Republican nomination is Rudy Guiliani... I know many people do not like him as a conservative, but he is a populast choice.. Name recognition and positive media exposure from 9/11.

But enough about my choices, lets get to the meat of the issue...

HRC is not a viable candidate and neither is Barrack Obama... The reason is plain simple, they will destroy each other and allow a non-frontrunner to take the nomination or they will supply enough ammunition to the GOP to cast doubts about themselves... Lets also keep in mind we are talking about a Clinton and they will find some dirt on Obama and release it in hopes of saving their own candidacy... HRC has enough negatives that a Tax collector could win in a one on one election against her...
  • Ed,
I didn't question the event itself, just when it happened and how it happened. I know she went because I saw her but in 1996 not 1995 and there was no way there were snipers as the story alleges. I've posted on it below and will have some pictures up later tonight of Eagle base and the air strip she flew in on. Thanks for the mention!

    http://www.mangledcat.com/archives/000511.html
  • Teresa -- more troops died during Clinton's two terms in office than have died in Iraq.
  • To further discredit Madame Hillary in terms of her "vast international understanding," check out powerlineblog's thread today about her complete lack of knowledge of the Pakistan elections.

Did she perchance spend a night at a Bosnian Holiday Inn Express?

(Glad that you caught that Sheryl Crow TP reference, Del All of that air turbulence must have put a challenge to the bowels. .)
  • Remember when TV reporter Andy Hiller asked Bush 4 geography questions? He was widely vilified in the mainstream media.

This Hillary gaffe, on the other hand, will be widely ignored.

As for Ms. Crow and her not a square to spare, she was with Hillary to entertain the troops. How come she did it for one President's non-UN-santioned Wqar of Choice, but not another's?
  • Please Hillary do us a favor and just go sit down somewhere with Bubba and see which one of you two yokels can tell the biggest whoppers!!

I'm sick of both you disgraceful asshats!!
  • What scares me the most is Teresa is raising kids...
  • Good job, Captain.

This old Free Republic post about Ron brown's death includes a Reuters account of her trip.

And here are some photos from a soldier who was there.

    Tom Maguire

    No mention of hazards.
  • Hillary's story, if the reporter got it right, does not add up. Period.
Thanks for the inspiration, this will probably be my last blog post for 2007.
    http://annapuna.blogspot.com/2007/12/hillary-mi...
  • I'm not sure about all of this. If you ask Mz Clinton, I'm sure you'll find that her Bosnia trip is "seared, *seared* into her memory." Not only that, but she still has the hat that one of the operators gave her.

    Right?

(clapping hands; I can't believe that I'm the first commentor to resurrect this!)
  • I worke 3 Flight Decks, Onboard the Good Ships Independence, Ranger and Kitty Hawk. Our daily routine was more dangerous. We had to be aware of intakes, exhausts, props and rotor blades. Then there were arresting gear wires, catapult shuttles and deck edge elevators. When my career began in the early 70' s we got $55.00 a month in haz pay. The IRS got eleven of those. In 1980 it was doubled to $110.00. The IRS then got almost 25 of it.
    Dear Hillary,
Go pound sand up your rather remarkably over-sized A**.
  • She talked about how bad her landing was on land for crying out loud.

I she ever had to do a trap, she better hope Ms Crow brought along the paper
  • A really disturbing possibility: What if Mrs. Clinton actually believes that what she is saying about her Bosnian adventure is true?
  • The bottom line is nothing with the Clintons has changed. Spin, lie, embellish whenever and however they like and they still believe the American public is stupid enough to buy it. Folks on other blogs have said Hillary's first term will be Bill's third and I think there's something to that.
  • Referring to a possible delay in the elections, Sen. Clinton said: "I think it will be very difficult to have a real election. You know, Nawaz Sharif [leader of the PML-N, an opposition party] has said he's not going to compete. The PPP is in disarray with Benazir's assassination. He [President Pervez Musharraf] could be the only person on the ballot. I don't think that's a real election."

    And then it hit me:

Sen. Clinton really didn't know that the upcoming elections were for individual seats in Pakistan's parliament. She actually believed that Bhutto, Nawaz and Musharraf would be facing off as individual candidates for leadership of the country in the upcoming elections.

Sen. Clinton didn't know that Nawaz Sharif isn't allowed to run for office in Pakistan because of a felony conviction. She didn't know that President Musharraf won't be on the ballot because he's already been elected.

Sen. Clinton, a candidate for the leadership of the free world, apparently doesn't know the first thing about the country referred to by some as "the most dangerous place on earth." (Powerline)

The woman is a complete phony with nothing to offer us other than lies & deceit. Those responsible for tagging this woman as "the smartest woman on earth" do the rest of America's woman a real disservice. Hillary is a media creation, on her own she is nothing more than a common criminal with a husband that views all woman as a possible quick fix.

The Clinton's represent all that defines the ugly American; morally bankrupt, power hungry, a danger to anyone who dares get in their path. Shame on America for allowing such people to steal the spotlight from others whom have worked their way up the political ladder by taking the proper steps; knowing what we all know about these two, they shouldn't be given a moment of positive attention. Speaks volume of the Democrat Party.
  • This reminds me of the Clinton claim that Chelsea had been out jogging around the Twin Towers on the morning of 9/11, and that Chelsea's life was therefore in danger when the terrorists struck.

That false claim was further evidence of the Clinton need to be at the center of attention at all times, no matter the circumstances.
  • There is another obvious factual error; there were no so-called "corkscrew" arrivals in Bosnia. I flew C-130's there from Dec 95 - Mar 96 (and the C-17's were no different), and the only permitted arrival in to Tuzla was an utterly predictable (and tactically unsound) 12-mile straight-in.
  • What a great field of dems we have running this year! There's Obama who says nothing with eloquence, Hillary, who's motto should be, "Keep them fed and stupid and they'll never rise against you!" and finally Edwards, who thinks we should elect him to protect us from people like.........HIM!
  • This whole thing just screams out for a parody:

Hillary Danger: International Woman of Mystery!

ANNOUNCER'S VOICE-OVER: "Tune in next week when Hillary Danger travels to Bosnia to take on a ruthless, genocidal dictator!"

(cut to preview scene. Hillary Danger, wearing a classy pink business suit, is involved in tough negotiations in the White House with Kim Jong-Il, Saddam Hussein, Boris Yeltsin, and Osama bin Laden)

HILLARY DANGER: You listen up, you pack of no-good, anti-American terrorists! I' m Hillary Danger, the smartest and most toughest woman in the world, and I'm telling you that I won't stand for any more of your crap!

KIM JONG-IL: Risten here, you stupid American! I'm going to buird nucrear weapons, and you can't stop me!

HILLARY DANGER (strides forward, grabs KIM JONG-IL by the shirt collar, and decks him with right hook): I eat little pussies like you for breakfast! Don't you f*** with ME, Hillary Danger, the smartest, toughest woman in the world!

    (others cower back)

    (aide steps in)

AIDE: Ms. Danger! The president needs you right away!

HILLARY DANGER: The president, or my country?

    AIDE: The country, Ms. Danger.

HILLARY DANGER (glares at the other men in the room): You get off lucky... this time. America calls, and I go where there's danger! I never want to hear a peep out of any of you again, you get me? You cause America any more trouble, and you'll have ME, Hillary Danger, to answer to. (kicks Kim Jong-Il in the side and exits)

(cut to scene. An Air Force transport plane full of heavily armed Delta Force commandoes. They are checking their weapons. HILLARY DANGER is arguing with the Delta Force commander, a tough-looking Army lieutenant colonel)

HILLARY DANGER: Sergeant, this mission is too dangerous to risk the lives of you and your men. You've all got families. As a wife and mother, I know how important that is.

    COLONEL: Mrs. Clinton---

HILLARY DANGER slaps the colonel, knocking him to the deck of the aircraft.

HILLARY DANGER: DON'T YOU EVER F***ING CALL ME THAT, YOU F***ING PIECE OF WORTHLESS S***! MY NAME IS HILLARY DANGER, THE SMARTEST AND TOUGHEST WOMAN IN THE WORLD! I GO WHERE THE DANGER IS! IF YOU CALL ME THAT ONE MORE TIME, I'LL TELL MY HUSBAND AND HE'LL MAKE YOU SORRY!

JUMPMASTER: Ten seconds to green light!

HILLARY DANGER: (buckles her helmet) I'm taking this mission myself. I'll take care of Milostepanick and make him stop murdering those poor Serbs myself. I had lunch with his wife one time, so I know just how to handle him.

JUMP MASTER: Stand in the door!

(theme from "Wonder Woman" begins to play)

HILLARY DANGER: America needs me! GERONIMO! (leaps into space)

(COLONEL staggers to his feet, rubbing his jaw.)

JUMPMASTER: Why did she take a map of Bahrain? This is Bosnia!

COLONEL: Don't worry about it, sergeant. She's Hillary Danger, the toughest and smartest woman in the world. Thank God she's on our side!

ANNOUNCER: Tune in next week for another exciting episode of "Hillary Danger: International Woman of Mystery!"
  • It's a MAN, BABY!
  • LOL!
  • Well you made Rush again. Way to go :Thumbs Up:
  • I can see a woman in her 50's with big thighs, fat bottom, business suit and heel sprinting across a tarmac dodging sniper bullets. Where was the Secret Service at this time? 7/24/365 protection for the first family. 15 yard penalty for B.S.ing.
  • Seem to me that anyone with a arse the size of the Hildabeast would be an EASY target for a sniper...hell RAY CHARLES could find that target at 1000 yards without a scope!

    HILLARY...IS....SATAN
  • It's truly awesome to see the Laser Beam of Truth smiting so forcefully.

I can't WAIT for you Truth Seekers to aim the Laser Beam at Dumbya.

Hillary lied. Gosh, really? She's a politician. They all lie. And when she's president, she'll continue lying.

And she'll wiretap your asses. And torture. And hold you in a cell, indefinitely, without you ever talking to your mommy or a lawyer.

    President Hillary. Sounds nice, huh?

President Hill. President Clinton. Slick Willie, back in power.

    You getting pissed off?

    President HILLARY.

    Payback is a bitch. Literally.

(I'm not a Hillary supporter, but they sight of your angry pusses will keep me laughing, and laughing, and laughing, for EIGHT YEARS.)
  • What's "Dumbya" running for, kid?
  • At least she actually went to Bosnia.

Remind me again when it was that Mitt Romney and his Daddy marched with Martin Luther King?
  • Teresa: "Look over there! A unicorn! ... Now, what were we talking about?"

Nice try on changing the subject.
  • Believe me, I hope and pray Romney is the GOP candidate every night!
  • Because you think he is the best candidate the Republicans have to offer, I hope. The other possibility is so un-American that I'm not sure I even want to go there.
  • Is this another lie Teresa? Do you also pray for victory (hence peace) in Iraq? To whom d you pray?
  • I've noticed that whenever Hillary Clinton gets dishonorable mention in the press, some liberal shows up to change the subject or defend her. I imagine you're a member of Ms. Clinton's campaign staff, aren't you, Teresa?

I hope and pray that Ms. Hillary is the GOP candidate every night. My goodness, can you imagine what the blogs are going to do to her as she disintegrates, like she's doing now? "I was sent whenever there was danger." I can't imagine a better way to get the entire nation to remember Clinton Fatigue, can you?

(Unrelated to this topic, please visit my political blog, "Plumb Bob Blog: Squaring the Culture," at http://www.plumbbobblog.com. Thanks.)
  • I've stated on numerous occasions that I am an Obama supporter -- as well as a stay at home Mom living in SC. I don't work for any campaign.
  • We pray for Obama, the Hallmark Card quoting conadidate.
  • You're a stay-at-home mom? My hat is off to you. I disagree with your political views, but I respect you for the work you do with your kids.

    Happy new year, Teresa.
  • "At least she actually went to Bosnia."

Our troops ended up going to Bosnia too, so I guess Hillary's "diplomatic mission" failed, miserably.
  • Do you really want to go there? How many US troops died in Bosnia compared to Iraq?
Last time I looked we actually ended up having success in Bosnia and getting to go home.
  • Go home? We're still there, and in Kosovo, too. What success?
One of my friends got relieved of his brigade command because he said, in winter of 1995, that the mission couldn't be done in six months as Clinton (the hairy one) had said. Well.... guess what?
  • Oooo, nice subject change!

Honestly, Teresa, you read like a SNL interview:

"Reporter: 'Tell me, Teresa, how do you justify defending a candidate who did under oath exactly what Scooter Libby did that landed him in jail? In a fair world, wouldn't your candidate also deserve to be prosecuted?'

"Teresa: 'There's a vast right-wing conspiracy paid for by Mitt Romney, attacking every Democratic candidate.'

"Reporter: 'But Ms. Clinton's recitation of "I can't recall..."?'

"Teresa: 'Karl Rove hoodwinked her into voting in favor of military action against Iraq.'

"Reporter: 'How deeply was Ms. Clinton involved in defrauding the Madison Guarantee Savings and Loan?'

"Teresa: 'At least we succeeded in Bosnia.'"

Hillary Clinton is the most thoroughly dishonest politician in American politics in my lifetime, and arguably as bad as any of the worst in history. Nobody with an ounce of common sense and a quarter-ounce of decency could possibly support her candidacy.

This is why the best you can come up with, Teresa, is to change the subject to something about which Hillary Clinton had not the slightest involvement.
  • You are the most thoroughly dishonest commentator on this board. I said none of the things which you accuse me of. All I pointed out was that all of the candidates stretch the truth a bit. And Mitt Romney is the worst at it.

If you want to live in some fantasy world in which all Republicans tell the truth all the time and all Dems are liars all the time, go ahead. But you will have a rude awakening in November 2008.
  • OMFG!!!!!

Find yourself Satire Glasses, ma'am. You clearly don't recognize literary types. I even ANNOUNCED that I was offering a Saturday Night Live imitation!

Honestly, liberals are just too funny some days...
  • Now you know why Air America never made it. No sense of humor those Libs.
  • Well, you know: humorless = serious.
  • I guess you are still recovering from your humorectomy.
  • Well, I guess you didn't check very well. We're still over there....

    Jim C
  • helllloooooo we are STILL there!!
  • Actually, Clinton promised our troops would be home "by Christmas". He just didn't say which Christmas he meant.
  • I'm guessing 2525...if man is still alive
  • It always gives me that "warm and fuzzy" feeling when the lefty, socialists care soooo much for us troopers...
  • since we're still in Bosnia, I guess its lasted longer than Iraq, just as Iraq has lasted longer than World War II. by that standard its a quagmire. Also, don't think that war passed the intenernational test we heard so much about by Kerry.
That clinton was such a unilateralist war monger. then again he also signed the Iraqi Liberation Act into law so you know what that means.
  • About the same time Bill Clinton imagined seeing all those black churches in Arkansas burning down.

This of course was shortly after Preident-elect Nixon ordered Jean-Claude Kerry to sail into Cambodia on a secret mission....
  • This of course was shortly after Preident-elect Nixon ordered Jean-Claude Kerry to sail into Cambodia on a secret mission....

And ordered the CIA to give him a magic hat. But not #9.
  • I guess he should have sent that "small varmint" hunter Romney with his NRA endorsement.
  • ""Can I get me a hunting license here?""

Jean "Scaramouche" Kerry, one day in 2004.
  • Long ago, in a galaxy far far away.
  • Facce it- countless fools continue to enable the scumwad Clintons. Some people think that the nanny state will provide all their needs and everyone will be equal except those (Clinton inner clan) who are more equal. They did ok never holding down actual private sector jobs. Nothing would surprise me. I wonder how much dirt on opponents the Clintons kept for themselves that they learned from purloined FBI files? And the arrogant baitch has Sandy Burglar advising her plus rapist in chief and disbarred hubby received as a god by the fools he can sweet talk while biting his lip and feeling their pain. Keep on dangling from the stinky nether regions of the clintons.
  • "Keep on dangling from the stinky nether regions..." LOL!!
  • Mitt didn't say he marched wih his father, he said of the era of his youth that "I saw my father march with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.". Which is not literally "seeing" but metaphorical, as in "in those days, we saw ministers speaking against race discrimination". There's not an English speaker in America who can't correctly parse Mitt's phrase into the semantics he intended. Now, there are many who for the sake of political ideologies *won't* parse it that way, but that's a reflection them, not Mitt.
